Position Summary
The Early Childhood Teacher for the Infant–Toddler Program is responsible for providing a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. This role supports children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth through responsive caregiving and intentional curriculum implementation. The teacher collaborates with families and colleagues to ensure high-quality care aligned with program philosophy, licensing regulations, and best practices in early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
Child Development & Curriculum
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities aligned with established curriculum frameworks .
Support infants’ and toddlers’ learning through responsive interactions, sensory experiences, language-rich environments, and play-based exploration.
Observe, document, and assess children’s development to inform planning and communicate progress to families.
Create daily routines that promote security, independence, and consistency (feeding, diapering, napping, transitions).
Health, Safety & Supervision
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
Follow all state licensing guidelines and program policies regarding supervision, sanitation, and health procedures.
Implement safe sleep practices, proper diapering/handwashing techniques, and emergency protocols.
Ensure appropriate ratios and constant visual supervision at all times.
