Harbor View Creative Learning Center is looking for an Early Childhood teacher to join our team! This classroom would work with children between two and three years old. At Harbor View, we work every day to create a supportive, family environment where your contributions are valued and you matter to us as a person, not just an employee.
Pay starts between $16.00 - $18.00 based on education and experience. Ongoing pay raises for all employees are awarded based on meeting program standards and expectations. If you are a good fit for our program, we love to promote and help all our teaching staff grow! Career advancement is always available, and we are willing to assist.
We will be closed for Christmas break starting Wednesday, December 24, and will reopen on Monday, January 5th.

We're open from 7:00 to 6:00 Monday to Friday - no late nights or weekends.
Responsibilities
Develop a fun and creative lesson plan suitable for the children in your age group.
Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc...).
Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children's background and psyche.
Collaborate with other educators.
Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus!
45 DCF Training Hours or willingness to obtain (Need to have before one year of employment)
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to act as a mediator between children
Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
