Role Summary:
We’re hiring a strong, nurturing, and organized Pre-K Teacher whose primary goal is to prepare children for a confident, successful transition into Kindergarten in the coming months.
This role is ideal for a teacher who can balance school readiness (literacy, math, routines, independence, social-emotional skills) with warmth, patience, and joyful classroom leadership.
Prepare Pre-K children for Kindergarten readiness—academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally—through consistent routines, intentional teaching, and family communication.
Key Responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
Strong Pre-K / preschool teaching experience
Passion for Kindergarten readiness and early childhood development
Classroom management skills (structure + warmth)
Organized, dependable, and consistent
Excellent communication with families and team members
Preferred Qualifications
CDA, ECE coursework, or degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
Experience teaching Pre-K (licensed childcare, preschool, or private school setting)
CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
Familiarity with lesson planning and child progress tracking
Experience teaching Pre-K (licensed childcare, preschool, or private school setting)
Elementary School Experience
Elementary school experience would be celebrated (fast track)
Requirements
Must meet Virginia childcare employment requirements (background checks, etc.)
Must be able to maintain active supervision and safe classroom practices
Must be reliable and punctual (consistency matters for children)
