    The Regional Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing the warehousing operations and supervision of warehouse associates across the assigned region, which includes planning and coordinating workers and warehousing activities for Company by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for all warehouse workers’ conformance to Company operational procedures of warehouse activities (verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials etc.).
    • Responsible for training employees on the effective and safe use of equipment and machinery while adhering to Company’s safety policy and procedures.
    • Responsible for overall maintenance of the Warehouse Operations Dashboard system to measure, monitor, evaluate and report on warehouse performance to goal while being responsible for delivery performance to meet Company productivity goals.
    • Overall responsibility for transportation logistics including scheduling of deliveries, establishing delivery routes, and selecting the most appropriate method for delivery to meet customer service objectives while utilizing company owned vehicles and drivers, parcel carriers (UPS and Fedex) and LTL carriers as required.
    • Tracks customer complaints, questions and inventory problems presented by branch personnel in order to ultimately resolve errors and implement solutions.
    • Inspects physical condition of warehouse and equipment. Prepares work order for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment within the assigned region.
    • Confers with department heads to ensure coordination of warehouse activities with activities of other functions such as production, sales, and purchasing.
    • Transmits administrative information, policies and procedures, decisions, changes, etc. to other warehouse associates.
    • Compiles and prepares reports for Branch management regarding area operations and financial matters.
    • Organizes annual inventory counts for assigned area/division.
    • Manages property control system; assignment of numbers, tags and ensures appropriate documentation of location, description and other data.
    • Maintains inventory levels, including performing shipping, receiving, and order pulling functions.
    • Purchases equipment, materials, furniture or other supplies in accordance with budget and priorities; works with appropriate staff and vendors to obtain required items and resolves questions or conflicts.
    • Determines disposition of used or damaged property and handles accordingly.
    • Knowledge of shipping/receiving practices, policies and techniques.
    • Knowledge of merchandise handling and production methods.
    • Knowledge of supervisory practices and principles.
    • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
    • Ability to effectively communicate.
    • Five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
