May start to expand knowledge in other disciplines and/or | | functional areas. | | | | Preferred Qualifications | | | | - PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH ELECTRICAL UTILITIES. | | •EXTENSIVE, RECENT EXPERIENCE WITH WIRELESS PROPAGATION MODELING | | TOOLS (E.G. ATOLL, CELL PLAN, PLANET, EDX AND/OR PATHLOSS). EDX IS | | PREFERRED, BUT RELEVANT EXPERIENCE WITH OTHERS WILL BE CONSIDERED | | AS WELL. | | •Microwave system design experience: link budgets, site evaluation, | | path feasibility evaluation, on-site path studies, specification of | | equipment, antennas, feedlines, and diversity measures | | - Field experience working at substations and communication shelters. | | Previous experience working with power utility telecommunication | | engineering, IT, operations, testing departments and hardware | | vendors is required. | | •Experience with power utility systems, processes and procedures. | | •Large communication systems design experience. | | | | Facility Projects | | •Attend weekly construction meeting for new build outs as needed. | | •Attend meeting with Telecom engineering to discuss new installations or | | remove of cables. | | •Providing comments back to the general contractors. | | •Updating CAD drawings for the architects for new service | | centers/trailers. | | •Working with Corporate Security planning and designing new service | | centers per Telecom standards and guidelines. | | •Provide feedback for grounding, phone lines, and QA inspection to | | assist with lessons learned. | | •Understand construction and what general contractors need upfront to | | avoid change orders. | | •Coordinate and determine project scope for contractor work for New | | Facility/Trailer projects | | •Provide feedback and input of scope of work for new projects | | •Act as the Owner’s Engineer Telecom Representative for Transmission & | | Distribution facility projects. | | •Design Telecom room CAD drawings which follow client standards and | | submit to client for final approval. | | | | : | | | | | | | | | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
