Charlotte Surgery Center is seeking a PRN OR/ENDOSCOPY CIRCULATING NURSE to have a crucial role in our outpatient surgery center. Circulating nurses may ensure all patient paperwork is completed, such as consent forms. During the procedure, nurses may also document what takes place. They are a patient advocate in that they assure that safety procedures are being met.  Circulating nurses may also replenish surgical supplies as needed during the procedure. After the procedure, they may verify instrument count and complete charting and other related duties.

Being detail oriented is also a needed skill for OR nurses. Small mistakes in the operating room can have a big impact on a patient’s condition. Nurses must also be able to handle several things at once. For instance, they may need to listen to the surgeon, monitor the patient and assist with the procedure at the same time.

Ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of an interdependent multidisciplinary team. Position requires weekdays only.

Required Skills

Candidates must have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and hold a current unrestricted license to practice in the State of Florida. Current American Heart BLS certification and experience working as a circulator required. BSN preferred.
