    DAYS/HOURS: Monday-Friday - 1st Shift Hours

    OCCASIONAL ABILITY TO WORK OVERTIME

    Join a team that will make you proud to be a Viking employee. Work closely with the Distribution Center traffic department to coordinate outbound deliveries, including scheduling of specialty equipment when required. Understand daily delivery functions, routes, and transfer system. You will facilitate moving product throughout the distribution center with the use of power industrial equipment. You will utilize forklifts and additional power industrial equipment may be used.

     

    POSITIONS RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Be the face and reputation of our company.
    • D.O.T. Medical Card & Clean Motor Vehicle Record Required
    • Ensure truck is in safe operating condition and maintains a clean appearance.
    • Communicate with sales associates through problem-solving to meet customer needs.
    • Supply feedback to the transportation specialist to maintain efficiency in driving route
    • Ability to stand and move throughout the warehouse in various temperatures
    • Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically weigh up to 50 lbs.
    • Construct pallets based on delivery area preventing stock from being damaged on delivery.
    • Acquires and maintains current knowledge of Viking policies and procedures, participates in training, and attends meetings as requested.
    • Acts in a helpful and cooperative manner towards customers and Viking associates.
    • Participate in processes and programs aimed at promoting a safe work environment.

    Required Experience

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

    • 1-year commercial driving delivery experience is preferred
    • Sales/customer service experience preferred
    • Use of technology including mobile devices and RF scanners
    • Experience with the delivery area
    • Experience with warehouse equipment preferred
