    Job Description

    East Bay Tire Co. is looking for a full time contract to hire RECRUITER to join its corporate office in Fairfield, CA. Come work for a stable leader in the industry whose been in business for 75 years!

    SUMMARY

    Recruiter will be responsible for the full cycle of the recruitment process. Responsible for all job postings, sourcing, screening, qualifying, evaluating, interviewing and negotiating job offers to fill existing and future job openings. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    •    Develop, implement and administer the entire recruitment initiatives for the company

    •    Source passive candidates through various recruiting tools such as search engines and social media sites i.e. LinkedIn, Indeed, job boards, community sources, job fairs, professional organization meetings, networking 

    •    Screening resumes, interviewing candidates, and determining the most qualified candidates that meet job criteria

    •    Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria

    •    Develop strong and cohesive working relationships with location and department managers 

    •    Work closely with HR Manager on creating job descriptions and/or updating existing job descriptions as needed 

    •    Responsible for pre-employment process of new candidates

    •    Responsible for smooth and effective on-boarding of new employees

    •    Process employee referral bonuses

    •    Ensure compliance with Affirmative Action and other employment related regulations

    •    Work closely with HR Manager in reviewing, updating and implementing effective procedures and processing systems as they relate to recruitment and employee retention

    •    Administer applicant tracking system

    •    Track and report key metrics on recruitment 

    •    Ensure timeliness of the recruitment process

    •    Ensure knowledge is up to date on employment law legislation as it relates to recruitment

    •    Other duties as assigned

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    •    Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably Human Resources or related field

    •    At least 2-3 years of full cycle recruiting

    •    Must have understanding of state and federal employment/labor law and compliance as it pertains to recruiting

    •    Understanding of HR practices & principles 

    •    Excellent written and communication skills 

    •    Bilingual (English/Spanish) REQUIRED

    •    Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 

    •    Must be dependable, motivated, be a proactive thinker, team player and have a strong work ethic 

    •    Must have prior experience in HRIS and applicant tracking systems

    •    Must be computer proficient/intermediate at Microsoft Office
