    TRI POINTE GROUP IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP AS A NATIONAL PURCHASING MANAGER.

     

     

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS: Support national purchasing initiatives and companywide reporting by providing key interface on JD Edwards purchasing practices, dashboards, master lists and assist in rebate processing and reporting. 

      

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Working collaboratively with appropriate stakeholders to create and implement an item master / option master creation.
    • Design companywide business processes, procedures, and policies aimed at maximizing purchasing hard cost opportunities.
    • Provide cost and rebate analysis while supporting and evaluating national purchasing opportunities.
    • Facilitate the request, collection, allocation, and reporting of all national and regional rebate and discount programs across all divisions, working collaboratively with all division purchasing staff.
    • Evaluate, modify and re-engineer the rebate, cost reduction, etc reporting processes to provide improved data or more efficient data collection and review workflows. 
    • Design business processes and operational national reporting in support of the Finance, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Job Cost JDE modules.
    • Identify opportunities to improve business processes leveraging the JD Edwards software. 
    • Implement processes that are accurate, streamlined, and well documented with an emphasis on delivering timely and accurate job cost results.  
    • Work collaboratively with I.T. and business subject matter experts across the company to develop custom reports for hard cost dashboard and cost tracking metrics.  Develop reports that help optimize business performance, support internal controls, and codify high leverage performance metrics.
    • Maintain company intranet, SharePoint and MS Office sites to include team member resources such as national purchase programs. 
    • Research, develop and structure national manufacturer agreements.
    • Perform other duties as assigned or needed including strategic initiatives, special projects and think tank/team meetings.

      

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor degree required; degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Construction preferred.
    • A minimum in 5 years Purchasing experience required; a deep understanding of accepted homebuilding business practices preferred.
    • Ability to research, develop, and structure manufacturer agreements desired.
    • Strong analytical skills required
    • A strong ethic of teamwork and a keen understanding of maintaining confidentiality are required due to the constant interaction with all levels of team members and management
    • Accuracy and strict adherence to deadlines is critically important
    • Ability to take initiative, make decisions when necessary and handle problems as they arise
    • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced working environment are required
    • Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in an accurate and expeditious manner is required
    • Ability to work with remote managers and team
    • Above average verbal and written communication skills. The candidate must be capable of communicating and working with team members and outside vendors at all levels and maintain a demeanor and attitude that reflect positively on the Home Office

    • Graduate of an Approved School of Nursing.

    REQUIRED LICENSES Registered Nurses • Licensed in State of Kentucky or compact state.

    • BLS certification – American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.

    • ACLS Certification required, must be current.
