    THE POSITION 

    We are currently looking to fill the position of Finance Analyst. This position works under the direction of Manager, Finance and Assets. 

    ECE's Finance Analyst will develop and analyze data for our budget process.  

    An individual in this position will perform accounting duties, analyze system entries and verify data. They will also provide data and reports to various areas in the cooperative along with analyzing inventory trends.  

    A Finance Analyst must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in addition to demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and integrity. 

    QUALIFICATIONS 

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in accounting, plus a minimum of 4 years' experience with working knowledge of RUS accounting practices; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. 

    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:  A self-motivated individual in this position must be able to work independently yet can work as a team member; they will also establish priorities, meet deadlines and schedule work load for Finance Department.  

    TECHNICAL SKILLS: Qualified candidate can perform moderately complex mathematical computations for reconciliation of debits and credits in general ledger accounts and journals. Has ability to resolve complex accounting through research and investigation of work papers. The individual understands RUS accounting principles as it relates to reporting, budgeting and forecasting company financials. 

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Safe working practices must always be understood and utilized. The individual will work in an office environment and operate office equipment. Employee may be required to work in a stressful environment while working under strict deadlines for various projects such as system updates, rate increases and capital credit retirement.  Must be able to remain calm and professional when dealing with potential conflicts. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  

    This position requires a pre-employment physical and substance testing and may be subject to random testing following the Cooperative's substance policy.
