    CONTACT SPECIALIST – FRONT OFFICE

    As a Contact Specialist, Front Office, you will join a service-oriented team, focused on listening to, caring for, and connecting with our members.

    THE POSITION

    We are looking to fill the position of Contact Specialist, Front Office at our Milaca Service Center. This position works under the direction of the Member Services Systems Supervisor.

    The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, flexible, and have great time management skills. An upbeat personality and strong verbal communication skills are very important.

    An individual in this position will respond to member inquiries face to face, by mail, telephone, and electronic written correspondence, including online chat. Occasional travel to our other service centers will be required.

    A Contact Specialist, Front Office must be able to work independently with minimal supervision in addition to demonstrating a high level of confidentiality and integrity.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: High school diploma, plus a minimum of two years' customer service experience; or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

    INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:  A self-motivated individual in this position must be able to work independently yet can work as a team member. A successful individual will also effectively communicate, in writing and orally, to our members.

    TECHNICAL SKILLS: Qualified candidates can perform basic mathematical computations for determining resolution to billing accuracy. Has the ability to assess energy consumption and meter reading information to determine the status of member account information to identify potential problems for resolution.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT: Safe working practices must always be understood and utilized. The individual will work in an office environment and operate office equipment. Employees may be required to work in a stressful environment while working under strict deadlines for various projects such as system updates, rate increases, and capital credit retirement. Must be able to maintain composure under the stress of high call volumes during major outages and heightened customer anxiety during problem resolution. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

    This position requires a pre-employment physical and substance testing and may be subject to random testing following the Cooperative's substance policy.
