East Side Clinical Laboratory is seeking a Full Time Courier for our Courier Department located in East Providence, RI.  Routes will be within the Rhode Island and Massachusetts and are for our Patient Service Centers.  

SCHEDULE / HOURS:

• Full-Time 30 Hours, Monday through Friday, 11:30 am - 7:00 pm, with a half hour lunch, Saturday Rotation as well 
• The employee will personal vehicle

DUTIES (*DENOTES AN ESSENTIAL FUNCTION):

1. Picks up and delivers specimens, supplies, reports, mail and other items between the main laboratory and branch lab sites.*
2. Follows government licensing, accreditations and corporate policies on safety.*
3. Use personal vehicles.*
4. Keep log of route specifics and manifestation.*
5. Route assignments are assigned based on business needs and are not guaranteed.
6. Submits mileage sheets weekly.*
7. Picks up stat work as directed.  Couriers will wear and respond promptly to a company provided phone.
8. Required to work a Saturday rotation as specified by departmental schedule.
9. Provide required documents as noted in ESCL Driving Policy
10. Performs other related duties as assigned.*

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Must be an insured licensed motorist with a reliable vehicle
• Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs. for delivery
• Knowledge of RI and MA areas helpful. 
• Must be able to follow directions.
• Mileage Reimbursement is available for employees using their own vehicle
• Provide required documents no exceptions, as noted in ESCL Driving Policy, such as Valid Active Driver's License, Good Standing Driving Record, Valid Active Auto Insurance, Valid Active Auto Registration.  
• A Background Screening will be run on final candidate by ESCL.
• Position will be contingent upon the review and approval of the Background Screening and Driving Record.
