The role involves working in conjunction with experienced engineers to guarantee that construction projects are carefully planned, designed, and carried out in compliance with security regulations. Responsibilities: • Planning and Design: Assist senior engineers in the planning and design phases of diverse civil engineering projects, ranging from roads and bridges to buildings and water systems. Ensuring compliance with local and state regulations is a key aspect • Site Visits and Problem-Solving: Conduct on-site visits to evaluate potential challenges and develop innovative solutions for proposed projects. This requires a hands-on approach and creative problem-solving skills • Technical Documentation: Aid in the creation of engineering reports and technical drawings, utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software. These documents, such as site plans, cross-sections, and maps, play a crucial role in project development • Collaboration: Work closely with various professionals, including architects, construction managers, surveyors, and other team members, to ensure projects are completed within specified timelines and budget constraints • Quality Control: Perform quality control tests on materials and oversee testing conducted by contractors to ensure compliance with project specifications, further emphasizing your commitment to project excellence • Innovation and Learning: Stay current with advancements in civil engineering technology and techniques, incorporating these innovations into project designs and specifications • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, prioritizing the well-being of team members and project stakeholders Qualifications: • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution • Have passed the Fundamentals in Engineering (FE) exam, or the ability to pass within the first year • Proficiency in civil engineering principles and practices, including materials science, construction techniques, and structural analysis • Familiarity with CAD software and other engineering tools • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Compensation: $63,000 - $80,000 per year
