Mid Level Provider for busy ENT Practice
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work at our busy Otolaryngology Practice.
You should have the ability to initiate evaluations and treatments with minimal ongoing consultation with the supervising physician, as well as performation a wide variety of clinical procedures as directed. May participate in day/night/weekend first call with MD backup. Strong triage capabilities are needed.
Familiarity with oto-microscopic examinations of the external ear, tympanic membrane and middle ear, as well as the inner ear is required. Other required experience include:
Nasal Problems to include flexible fiberoptic nasal/nasopharyngeal examination
Removal of nasal foreign bodies
Evaluation and treatment of uncomplicated nasal infections, allergic rhinitis, epistaxis, and sinusitis
Evaluation and treatment of pharyngitis, salivary gland infections
Fiberoptic examination, as well as indirect laryngoscopy/nasopharyngoscopy
Videostroboscopy as indicated
Evaluation of hoarseness and dysphasia
Evaluation of neck masses/lymph nodes with consultation
Evaluation of thyroid masses and facial nerve paralysis
Initiate requests for nuclear medicine imaging studies, CT/MRI studies, ultrasound studies, and ENG/ABR studies
May order laboratory, diet, and medications as per protocol.
A minimum of three years ENT or Family Practice experience is preferred.
Travel between our locations of Chesapeake, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach is required.
