    This is a TEMP to possible Permanent placement position. This position REQUIRES TRAVEL to all three of our locations. Locations: Chesapeake, Harbour VIew (Suffolk) and Virginia Beach offices. We are looking for a positive employee with a great work ethic to go above and beyond their call of duty! We have a full Benefit package for you as well as 401K. Start earning PTO on your hire date! Required: past experience in covering a physician(s).

    Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-5pm. Maximum 40 hrs. per week. Work hours require you to be flexible. Travel between offices a must. MA experience/MA school required. Direct experience working with Physicians is a must!

    JOB DESCRIPTION FOR ENT MEDICAL ASSISTANT:

    1. Take a history on all patients including documenting their chief complaint in the EMR.
    2. Report to work at least 30 minutes before first patient to prepare the exam rooms.
    3. Complete the following task:

    Addressed all messages by the end of the day.

    Call in prescriptions as needed.

    Clean all instruments.

    Remove surgical packing, splints, sutures and staples according to doctors orders.

    Send out specimens and fill out appropriate forms.

    Complete FMLA, Referrals, and Authorizations needed.

    Assist with office procedures , ensuring proper consent forms are obtained.

    Monitor and dispose of expired medications as needed.

    Coordinate appointments for cancer patients and educate them as to postoperative care (i.e.-Speech therapy, radiation therapy, peg tubes, etc.)

    Monitor supplies and submit in writing to supervisor any supply needs.

    1. Inform the physicians of any schedule changes ASAP.
    2. Coverage for other MA's as needed.
