System Network Engineer
You will be the sole Information Technology staff member or a Medical practice consisting of 3, soon to be 4, locations. You will be responsible for all IT contract negations. You will planning and implement all Software and Hardware solutions within the company. You will be accountable for the daily operations, support, backup, recovery and efficiency of server systems, data stores, and related enterprise framework. This individual must be motivated and self driven. This position is expected to complete work with no instruction or supervisory direction, and is given latitude on the methods used to achieve assigned goals. This position will require weekend and evening work as will as being on call 24/7 days a week. This position has limited outside support.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Provides systems, applications, and networking support
Assists in user notifications of changes to the application
Resolves product support questions, issues, and failures
Managing Backups (snapshots, etc)
Troubleshooting with individuals one-on-one
Set up new hire computers, phones, software, accounts, etc.
Provide Enterprise level backup and recovery procedures including scheduling to limit impact on system availability.
Provide offline and online backup options procedures to minimize any impact on system availability.
Continued development and improvement client facing platforms
Support existing Windows and Active Directory software environment, various applications and HPE servers
Responsible for all systems, server, virtual server, and storage problems
Managing Security (AV, Encryption, Content Filtering, etc)
Maintaining Microsoft Hyper-V cluster with multiple hosts
Maintaining WAN/LAN networks with multiple VLANs, multi-link WAN topologies
Maintaining WIFI
Maintaining Firewalls, NAT, and VPN
Maintaining Microsoft Active Directory environment
Maintaining Microsoft Exchange environment
Domain Migrations
Exchange Server Migrations
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Must have an understanding of HIPAA regulations and rules.
Fantastic communication skills, both written and verbal
At least 5 years of experience supporting a company's IT operations as a systems/network administrator
Service-orientated mindset and the ability to empathize with a wide range of technical experience
Experience troubleshooting Windows (7/10) and MS Office applications.
Experience in Windows server (2008, 2012 and 2016)
Virtualization experience for hosting server environment, Hyper-V
Experience in multi VLAN, multi-site complex networks
Experience managing and building Microsoft Active Directory Environments (Group Policies, OU organizations, Preferences, etc)
Experience in a fast-pace environment, time management, solid communication skills, and quick response.
Experience with networked and mobile computing environments
Exposure to networking and information security
Excellent organizational, and support case management skills
Strong understanding of Customer Support and Call Center Best Practices
Knowledge of Infrastructure operations in a medium-large organization
Knowledge of network engineering, security concepts, practices and standards
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Knowledgeable of Greenway Applications.
Knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements
Education in IT, preferably a Bachelor's degree or comparable technical education/coursework.
IT Certifications, preferably (A , Network , Security , CCNA, Microsoft MCITP or MCSA,)
Experience with enterprise level storage architectures and products.
Experience with enterprise level Backup products.
THIS IS A FULLTIME POSITION. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE EXPECTED TO WORK 40 HOURS PER WEEK, OFF HOURS AND WEEKEND HOURS AS NEEDED FOR PROJECT BASED WORK AS WELL AS SUPPORT.
