Works independently, performing all tasks related to the reprocessing and sterilization of surgical instruments.  These tasks include maintenance, decontamination, prepping, sterilization and proper handling and storage.

Required Experience

1. High school graduate or equivalent
2. IAHCSMM (International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management) certification preferred
3. Previous experience in sterile processing preferred
4. Knowledge of surgical instruments and their use
5. Knowledge of supplies and equipment used during sterile processing
