    STERLING OMS ARCHITECT

    The Order Management Architect is responsible for the overall solution identification and architectural design for order management projects and initiatives, ensuring that each project delivered meets customer requirements and adheres to IT principles and standards as well as being in alignment with the IBM best practices and technology roadmap. Responsibilities includes overseeing the development and maintenance of a complete set of architectural artifacts that accurately reflect the systems, all interactions and data flows, and the underlying infrastructure, as well as the business capabilities and user roles, supported or impacted by the solution and its implementation. Additional responsibilities include overseeing maintenance of the ecosystem information on all applications within the assigned business area(s), including current components and interfaces and roadmaps for future enhancements or other changes.

    RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Serving as IBM Sterling OMS subject matter expert working with business partners to architect the 'best-fit' customer use cases across multiple enterprise systems.
    • In the implementation phase, serving as a key member of the solution delivery team, facilitating requirements/design phase by collaborating with system integrator and technical experts to develop solution and functional design documents to enable the development of final solutions.
    • Identifying areas where new business processes can be implemented using native configuration in lieu of customizations to base Sterling OMS product functionality.
    • Collaborating with other IT architects and business analysts to implement and extend the capabilities of the Sterling OMS platform.
    • Partnering with other technical teams (middleware, database, infrastructure, etc.) to create interface documents and mappings to ensure that OMS is built in a service-oriented architecture manner.
    • Developing and maintaining product plans and roadmaps.
    • Ensuring design decisions support the long-term health of the IT ecosystem enterprise wide and do not lead to a short-term or isolated solution, including Code Reviews when appropriate.
    • Ensuring the technical integrity, consistency and adherence to architectural standards and principles of the overall solution, including maintaining alignment with the IBM technical roadmap.
    • Overseeing the development of a complete set of architectural artifacts describing and depicting the solution with all its components and interactions.
    • Documenting technical information for the system and ensuring that any new systems or system changes are updated in the appropriate ecosystem repositories.
    • Managing timelines, milestones, and internal details to ensure timely provision of all deliverables

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum of four (4) years’ current experience with IBM Sterling OMS in a solution architect, design lead, or functional consultant role.
    • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in technical design/architecture.
    • Configuration/administrator level knowledge using IBM Sterling Order Management components, API's, related interfaces, and configuration.
    • Experience in Java/EE and specifically in developing Java-based extensions and interfaces to ensure proper functionality and integration with other systems.
    • Experience implementing integration solutions with MuleSoft Anypoint platform a plus.
    • Ability to create and maintain architectural artifacts, including detailed architectural diagrams; knowledge of Archimate, UML, or similar modeling a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Working knowledge of project management, agile methodology, and continuous improvement.
    • Keen interest in following emerging technologies and ability to determine and articulate how they could or should be applied along with assessment of business value.
    • Strong skills in MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate clearly and concisely to all audiences of all levels, spanning from technical peers to executive management
