POSITION OVERVIEW
The Warehouse & Logistics Assistant Manager will report directly to the site Plant Manager. The key objectives of this role is as follows:
- Ensure cost effectiveness of international and domestic freight.
- Safe, Effective and Efficient operations of our HBF internal and 3rd Party Logistics warehouses where engaged.
- Enhance profitability by directly managing Delivery Expense and support in achieving FLMOH and GM budgets.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- HBF Internal Warehouse – covering all aspects of core activities associated with running a safe and efficient warehouse.
- 3PL Warehouses – covering all aspects of core activities, protection of company assets [inventory], contract negotiation and management, performance management and safety compliance.
- Freight - management and negotiation of international and domestic freight contracts ensuring lowest cost and highest service objectives are aligned and achieved.
- Inventory Management - implement regular cycle and physical count of inventory at HB Fuller and extended warehouse in coordination with Finance.
- Continuous Improvement – continually strive to look for continuous improvement opportunities across Safety, Service Quality and Process.
- Partner with EH&S function to implement transport and 3rdparty logistics safety and emergency response to ensure compliance with company and local requirement regulations and laws.
- Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior.
- Prepare and secure required documents for local/export sales shipments
- Establishing or adjusting work procedures to meet warehouse demands as dictated by production schedules and work flow.
- Performs other related tasks as assigned from time to time.
Required Skills
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Degree or Advance Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.
- With at least five (5) years of experience in inventory control and warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing set up.
- Must have a working knowledge of transport regulations, dangerous goods transport, Work safe regulations.
- Experience using warehouse management ERP systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel and Word.
- Exhibit excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and can relate to different levels of an organizations.
- Self-motivated, results oriented, and performance driven.
