    POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    Supervises Production activities to ensure that goals are met. Will serve, at times, as “Supervisor in Charge” of entire facility.  Responsible for assuring a high level of guest and donor service. Must ensure that Easter Seals-Goodwill policies and procedures are uniformly enforced and followed. Cross training required in all aspects of Goodwill. Performs duties according to the established Best Practices of ESGW NRM. Duties include, but are not limited to:

     

    • Conducts or assists with regular staff meetings that improve communication with staff such as daily tool box talks and/or monthly production department meetings
    • Monitor potential safety hazards, reports them and helps correct them
    • Balance activities to include Management by Walking Around and personally participating in the physical work of the production department
    • The core focus of the Production Supervisor is the textiles department
    • Acts as a Production Driver - inspires, motivates, coaches, trains, monitors, and or schedules the production team
    • Conduct price evaluation and tally exercises to ensure that 20/60/20 textile pricing is in place
    • Conduct pulls review to determine why did it not sell? Take actions, as needed, to correct deficiencies
    • Communicate daily with the textile team regarding floor walk allocations
    • Conduct daily recycling review in textile department
    • Review production results on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
    • Monitor staff productivity to established standards/goals and take appropriate actions to correct deficiencies
    • Items to monitor:
      • Time and number of GUMS (cages) sorted by each associate
      • Quality of product on the rails
      • Pricing of the textile merchandise
      • Rack Rolling time for each associate
      • Document the number of items on each rail by tallying
    • Conduct coaching conversations, as needed, to address deficiencies. Work with managers to request additional actions if/when coaching is not affecting the required result.
    • Work with Managers to review monthly S&P results and take appropriate actions to correct any deficiencies in pricing or output
    • Takes appropriate actions to ensure that store meets production goals
    • Ensure production and donation areas are organized and clean
    • Ensures timely and accurate completion of paperwork and electronic “forms” in areas which are required of all supervisors and/or in any areas that have been specifically assigned by manager including those related to HR, Safety/Asset Protection and Accounting
    • Completes administrative tasks, which include; accurate daily/weekly/monthly reporting; opening and closing procedures, cash management, and stock on hand reporting
    • May assist with completion of performance logs, and/or performance evaluations

    • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, monetary, organizational and decision making skills.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Ability to move independently or with reasonable accommodation within the facility and community.
    • Applicant must be physically and mentally able to perform all requirements of the job.
    • Able to lift and carry 20-100 pounds with team lifting or mechanical assistance
    • Able to stand, stoop, bend, or carry for extended periods
    • Able to go up and down steps
    • Able to stand and walk entire shift.
    • Tolerance of extreme changes in temperature and humidity
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends or longer shifts if needed.
    • MAY BE REQUIRED TO WORK MORE THAN 40 HOURS PER WEEK

    Required Experience

     

    • High School/Equivalent
    • 0-2 years previous experience
