The E-commerce Specialist position works within the Goodwill store to identify items suitable for online sales, and prepares them for transportation to an E-Commerce processing site. This position is responsible to the Goodwill store in generating online revenue to meet or exceed budgeted goals, training staff in identification of items better sold online, and communicating successes and opportunities to store team. Positively impact success of store’s online budget by ensuring consistent flow of quality product to meet or exceed current needs of the business, and by choosing appropriate merchandise expected to sell for $20 or more online. 

Goodwill sites are subject to changing and unpredictable circumstances, especially regarding the ebb and flow of donations. This position is expected to be responsive to these needs; showing initiative to accomplish the tasks at hand and being prepared to move between assignments as priorities change.  The E-Commerce Specialist is accountable for communication, training, packaging, and capture rate, which all contribute to the required outcome. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure consistent flow of quality product for online sales
• Identify items for online sales
• Inventory, prepare and package items for transport to E-Commerce
• Coordinate and monitor timely transport of online items to processing facility
• Ensure asset protection guidelines are met
• Promote meaningful communication between the store team and E-Commerce team
• Maintain store E-Commerce training and communication binder (SGW binder).
• Minimize time spent on computer, usually less than 2 hours weekly to track trends, check email and print material.

Required Skills

• Computer skills required.
• Knowledge of collectibles, antiques and web trend desired.
• Photography experience is helpful.
• Good communication skills a must.
• Ability to work with people with disabilities and other special needs desirable.
• Knowledge of merchandise and customer service desirable.
• Math skills with which to complete daily reports as necessary
