Easton Consulting Technologies, LLC is a global managed service consulting firm helping to launch various successful Prop Firms servicing retail traders worldwide. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Accounting Associate at our Firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As an Accounting Associate, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our trading firm. You will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, preparation of financial statements, and compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be key to your success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledger accounts, and preparing journal entries and accruals.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
- Prepare financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, and perform variance analysis to identify and explain any discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of regulatory and compliance reports, including tax filings, financial audits, and other financial documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as operations, trading, and risk management, to gather financial data and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain financial integrity and mitigate risk.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and best practices, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of accounting principles and standards.
- 2+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a financial services or trading environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of trading and investment products, such as equities, options, and futures, is a plus.
- Professional certifications, such as CPA or CMA, are desirable but not required.
RATE & BENEFITS
OVERVIEW
- Location: Remote, US-based
- Schedule: Our core salaried team is online 8 am - 5 pm EST with a 1-hour lunch break
- Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
