    Job Description

    The Head of Grocery Operations is mainly responsible for defining operational goals, results and strategy to drive continuous improvement and sales development.

    The Head of Grocery strategically plans and define Eataly’s sales goals and objectives to maximize revenue and efficiency.

    Reports to the Director, Grocery.

    • Leads the ongoing development of Eataly’s store layout standardization to maximize revenue and efficiency
    • Influences and guides the Grocery Operations by developing a strong relationship with the GM, Retail of Eataly North America stores
    • Collaborates with counterparts on Fresh Products Team, both at Corporate and Store level, to maximize cross-merchandising and promotional opportunities
    • Remains in constant communication with managers and key personnel in each department and is always aware of stores objectives
    • Plans promo calendar structure, in collaboration with the Director, Grocery
    • Assists with the examination, selection of grocery items and products
    • Communicates, builds and maintains strong relationships with Eataly vendors
    • Analyzes category trends and competitive concerns; including competitor’s pricing, assortment and consumer trends
    • Monitors sales for all Eataly North America locations and develops tool to control results are met (KPIs, reporting development, weekly call set up)
    • Supports and positively influences Grocery financial goals, product mix, business relationships and innovation needs
    • Directs hiring, assignment, training, motivation, evaluation and termination of personnel
    • Provides significant operational support and presence in the stores
    • Assists in developing in new store opening
    • Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5 + years of progressively more responsible experience in retail operations
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
    • Outstanding analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication, motivation and team-building skills
    • Italian product knowledge preferred

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Travel up as needed to all Eataly North America locations

    The annual salary for this position is $90,000- $115,000
