    Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a skilled individual to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI as a Custom Assembler - 2nd shift (Dept 05 Form 6)!

    An attractive hourly rate of $19.76 per hour with a $1.25/hr shift premium is being offered for this position. The core working hours are from 3 pm to 11:30 pm.

    • Associates must be employed at the time of the payout to receive the bonuses.
    • The bonuses will be paid in two installments. After three (3) months of employment, $1,000 (after applicable withholding) will be paid, followed by the remaining $1,000 (after applicable withholding) after nine (9) months of employment.

    The Custom Assembler position involves diverse sub and final assembly operations on our overhead switchgear product line. The responsibilities include performing complicated sub-assembly operations, which consist of numerous parts and require substantial component fitting and alignment. These operations are typically based on a specific standard procedure and are performed repetitively.

    In this role, you will be responsible for:

    • Adhering to established working procedures.

    • Setting up the workstation for efficient assembly and working independently or as part of a team.

    • Completing paperwork, recording labor, confirming production, and moving products to the outgoing materials zone.

    • Identifying and addressing defective parts or making necessary adjustments, reporting any concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor.

    • Collaborating with other departments for advice and decision-making.

    • Assisting QA/Engineering in troubleshooting for new product development, as needed.

    • Requirements:

    • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

    • Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

    • No relocation benefit is available for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from this geographical limitation.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Trades training (or equivalent) in soldering and brazing operations, electronic terminology and symbols, and electrical circuits and electronics.

    Skills:

    • Flexibility in the work environment, ability to perform multiple job functions within the department.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications, such as SAP.

    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.

    • Capability to walk/stand for an 8-hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Physical strength to lift 48lbs and push/pull 48 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Willingness to work overtime when required.

    $19.76 - $21.01 / hr
