- Set up, fix, maintain, adjust, alter, and service a wide range of electronic control systems and other intricate electrical equipment, circuits, controls, systems, motors, gauges, panels, transformers, switches, and recorders within the factory.
- Assist other operators in understanding and following proper operational procedures.
- Carry out general cleaning tasks and fulfill other assigned job-related responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor.
Primary Functions:
•Acquire wiring diagrams, blueprints, manufacturer’s specifications, tools, and inspection equipment as needed for specific service requirements.
•Analyze all electrical and electronic prints, wiring diagrams, specifications, and instructions in order to plan and organize work procedures.
•Diagnose the cause of malfunction in various types of electrical and electronic mechanisms found in machine tools, controls, and equipment.
•Inspect, dismantle, repair, reassemble, test, and calibrate different types of equipment to ensure safe and proper operation.
•Utilize testing and calibrating equipment including multimeters (volt - ohm - amperage), oscilloscopes, signal generators, transistor analyzers, impulse recorders, test sets, millimeters, and milli-ammeters.
•Use own initiative to make repairs or replace faulty parts in machines, equipment, and controls, utilizing both machine and hand tools commonly used in the trade for various duties.
•Maintain accurate records of electronic control machine performance and maintenance to establish and implement a preventive maintenance program.
•Effectively plan conduit runs, cabling, and installations.
•Operate equipment as necessary for troubleshooting, repair, and verification purposes.
•Perform all work on high voltage equipment related to machinery operation.
•Provide assistance to other trades in carrying out repair operations when required.
•Adhere to Eaton’s procedures for personal protective equipment and lockout tagout.
•Perform work in other trades as instructed.
Basic Qualifications:
•Completion of High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution
•Minimum of five (5) years of full-time experience in repairing and troubleshooting industrial electronic controls, including at least three (3) years of full-time experience with CNC equipment. Experience should include servicing and checking the high voltage power supply to the equipment.
•Must have the legal right to work in the United States without requiring corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
•This position involves access to information or hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must qualify as U.S. persons according to ITAR. U.S. persons are defined as U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents (i.e., 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylees, or Refugees.
•No relocation assistance is available for this position. Only candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of Euclid, OH will be considered. Active Duty Military Service members are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
