Job Description

Eaton Aerospace Fuel and Motion Control Systems Division is currently on the hunt for a Technician to join their team. This position is based in Grand Rapids, MI. The role entails:

• Putting together, testing, and troubleshooting electro-mechanical components to the provided documents with minimal oversight for the OE and/or Repairs Value Stream.
• Carrying out work in compliance with the rules of our Repair Station Certificate and following DOT drug and alcohol guidelines.
• Using hand tools such as pliers, wrenches, screwdrivers, arbor press, vises, soldering iron, depth micrometers, calipers, lockwire pliers, dial indicators, pressure gauges, flow meters, multimeters, and other basic hand tools as required.
• Performing lock wire/safety wire and nameplate.
• Utilizing testing equipment to execute in process testing and final Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs).
• Prioritizing tasks to ensure that business targets are met.
• Making sure activities are done correctly and the right tooling and documentation is used.
• Supporting engineering in new production manufacturability.
• Making sure tooling is calibrated before use.
• Preserving a neat and safe workspace.
• Fulfilling other duties as assigned.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Associates Degree in Technical Field or equivalent of six (6) years in assembly and testing of electromechanical actuators or similar equipment
• Ability to work in the US without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
• Be a US person within the meaning of ITAR.

Preferred qualifications include aerospace manufacturing experience.

You should be adept in High School / GED, Electrical Schematics, and Mechanical Assembly Skills.

Relocation benefit is not available for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Grand Rapids, Michigan will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
