We are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing Paid Search Manager, who can work in a demanding and fast-paced environment. This role offers the opportunity to manage a multi-million-dollar ad-spend for multiple domains competing for best performance with the likes of Amazon, Walmart, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, REI, and other e-commerce giants. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE DIGITAL MARKETING PAID SEARCH MANAGER
- Manage a multitude of campaigns and millions of dollars in ad-spend through analysis, planning, optimization, reporting and tracking.
- Develop strategies, deep channel insights, and understanding in partnership with retail teams and other marketing channel teams to help our online stores reach their performance targets.
- Manage an internal team of analysts to ensure synergy, align paid search strategies with business objectives, priorities, and goals for all channels, including but not limited to Search, Shopping (PLA), Remarketing and Display.
- Hire, train, and mentor new team members. Provide performance feedback and assign individual yearly goals.
- Maintain a strong relationship and business partnership with various 3rd party partners (including Google, Bing, Yahoo, Amazon, Facebook and more).
- Collaborate with internal Marketing teams like Design, Web Content, SEO, Copywriting, and others to improve campaign performance through landing page optimization, content creation and bid strategy alignment to improve business KPIs.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams to launch new advertising channels, manipulate existing logic and help improve performance of our advertising initiatives.
- Define and run A/B tests as well as Beta experiments to test new vendor features and new product developments by 3rd parties.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE DIGITAL MARKETING PAID SEARCH MANAGER
- Degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or equivalent.
- 5+ Years Paid Advertising experience in a retail environment (e-commerce).
- 2+ Years experience Managing direct reports.
- Experience managing large ad budgets > $1M per month.
- Strategic thinker who can execute methodically.
- Strong data driven analytical and quantitative skills with keen ability to translate analysis into actionable insights and business decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethics, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities and get things done efficiently.
- Experience working with ad platforms from Google, Bing, Yahoo (Verizon media).
- Experience at a paid media agency, or large in-house team preferred.
- Project Management experience is a plus.
- Hands on bid management platform expertise such as Search Ads 360 is a plus.
- Experience with Google Marketing Platform components is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Excel and an overall comfort with software, technology, and the internet preferred.
- Experience with Social PPC platforms (Facebook, Pinterest, and such) is a plus.
