    Pay: $35-$40 per hour

    Position Summary:

    The Echocardiography Technician is responsible for performing a variety of non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures, including echocardiograms, stress echocardiography, and Doppler studies, in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures. The Echo Tech will work closely with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate imaging and quality patient care during day/night shifts.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    Perform high-quality 2D, M-mode, Doppler, and color flow echocardiographic exams.

    Assist physicians with stress echocardiograms and transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) as needed.

    Prepare and position patients for procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.

    Accurately document procedures and maintain comprehensive patient records.

    Review and verify patient information and physician orders prior to testing.

    Ensure proper function and cleanliness of ultrasound equipment; report malfunctions promptly.

    Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

    Participate in on-call rotations and assist in other cardiac diagnostic areas as required.

    Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

    Qualifications:

    Education: Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Cardiac Sonography or Echocardiography program.

    Certification:

    Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required.

    BLS certification (American Heart Association) required.

    Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent hospital-based echocardiography experience preferred.

    Skills:

    Proficient in cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

    Excellent interpersonal and patient care skills.

    Ability to work independently during night hours and handle emergency cases efficiently.
