Job Description

Mortgage Closers assemble, prepare and review critical closing documents for mortgage loans. They work with the individual or company applying for a loan to walk them through all the necessary steps. If the mortgage loan is approved, the Mortgage Closer coordinates the closing process to ensure that all documents are correct and all terms of the loan are met. Mortgage Closers are usually employed by banks, homebuilders and financial institutions.

We are seeking a Closer/Funder to become a part of our team! You will evaluate and authorize approval of real estate, commercial, and credit loans.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare Closing Documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory and industry requirements
• Review Closing Documents for errors and be able to effectively address issues found
• Review the entire loan package to assess its completeness and readiness for funding
• Accurately calculate and prepare funding figures to confirm with Escrow for the funding process
• Coordinate the closing process with Clients, Loan Officers, Loan Processors, Escrow Companies, Title Companies, and Banks

• Extremely detail-oriented and well organized
• Familiarity with financial and lending practices
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience in finance, banking, or other related fields
• 2 years' experience desired
