Automatic Door Sales Consultant (New products & Service)
Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers.
Generating and processing new sales leads as required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Communicate project questions and details in a timely and accurate manner
Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
Maintains detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems
Visit construction projects in various stages for the opportunity to obtain pre-bid information, field dimensions, door/frame/hardware information, and consult with customers on various requirements.
Answering phone calls/emails from general contractors and deal with issues as they arise.
Staying abreast of industry codes and standards by participating in education webinars, seminars, and reviewing technical publications.
Knowledge of building codes as they relate to door, frame and hardware applications such as fire codes, windstorm, ADA, life safety, etc
Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
Reach out to customer leads through cold calling, email, networking events.
Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
Analyze the territory/market’s potential, track sales and status reports
Responsible for prospecting, maintaining consistent customer contact and communication, along with aggressive follow up to achieve targeted growth.
Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
Continuously improve through feedback
SKILLS
Knowledge of the commercial door and hardware industry
Identify and understand commercial door and hardware needs
Sales management experience with a proven track record to grow sales in assigned territory.
Proven work experience as a successful sales representative
Able to successfully estimate and close sales.
Great customer service skills.
Ability to read blueprints and specification documents.
Experience with the commercial door and hardware industry is preferred but not required
Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales
Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs

You will be calling on new and existing customers and be responsible for providing complete and appropriate solutions to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition levels, and profitability.
