Eden House Executive Director
The mission of Eden House (EH) is to offer hope and healing to women who have suffered from commercial sexual exploitation, and to provide them with tools and resources to begin a new life. The staff and volunteers are people who are committed to loving and making a difference in the lives of others, who love God and have a vibrant personal relationship with Him through faith in Jesus Christ. The Executive Director is responsible for the management of the non-profit, which includes day-to-day leadership, operations, and finances. Additionally, the Executive Director oversees the strategic plan of the organization, including fundraising, marketing, and growth.
The Executive Director will report to the Eden House Advisory Board and First Naples Church Leadership.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
• Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of financial accountability, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
• Actively engage and energize EH volunteers, board members, Program staff, partnering organizations, and donors.
• Develop, maintain, and support a strong Advisory Board (AB); seek and build board involvement with strategic direction for both ongoing operations as well as growth to accomplish annual goals.
· Coach, develop, and retain EH Leadership Team (Program Director, Program Advocate, Lead Shift Supervisor ) Lead the staff throughout the year in strategic planning meetings; regular Senior Leadership Team meetings; and annual reviews
• Implement effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program effectiveness, so as to measure growth and milestones that can be effectively communicated to the AB, donors, and other partners.
• Develop the organizational culture and promote transparency and collaboration throughout the organization. Provide leadership and vision to staff to ensure they are implementing the EH vision and maintaining the EH culture within their teams.
Fundraising & Communications:
• Leads the strategy and is responsible for the annual operating budget of $850,000 annually; works to grow the budget each year to meet operating expenses.
• Use external presence and relationships to develop new opportunities for donor engagement and support.
-Deepen and refine all aspects of communications—from web presence to external relations with the goal of creating a stronger brand.
• Articulates the organization’s vision publicly in churches, with individuals and in other strategic settings with a view toward growing awareness of the organizations’ mission and funding needs.
Programmatic:
• Provides strategic direction and vision to employees to ensure excellent delivery of services to participants.
• Creates and analyzes monthly program measurements with the Program Director and Program Advocate
• Through regular Senior Leadership meetings, implements operational standards, policies and EH expenditures and sets the annual budget, making appropriate adjustments throughout the year
• Directly manages the Program Director
Qualifications:
The ED will be thoroughly committed to Eden House’s mission. All candidates should have proven leadership, administration, and fundraising experience. Candidates should also have experience and/or understanding of commercial sexual exploitation, and a strength-based, trauma-informed approach to care. The ED has a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ that is exemplified in all areas of life, and is a member or regular attender of a Bible-believing Church.
Specific requirements include:
• Advanced degree with at least 5 years of senior management experience; track record of effectively leading and ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth
• Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation
• Excellence in organizational management with the ability to develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget
• Past success working with a Board of Directors with the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships
• Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of donors, including individuals and churches
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning
• Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
• Passion, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed Eden House is a ministry of First Naples Church. Eden House employees must comply with First Naples Church employment guidelines, including the Statement of Faith. Employees are not required to be members of First Naples Church, but must be affiliated and in good standing with a local church
