Edenspiekermann is expanding across North America, and we're opening a full-service office in San Francisco in proximity to some of our most exciting mobility and technology clients. 

We're looking for an Experience Design Strategist with a strong UX background to play a key role in building our team and presence in the Bay Area.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Strategic end-to-end leadership of large scale digital projects jointly with a Program Manager and Creative Lead
• Ability to independently conduct user and desk research, and to develop and execute interview and focus group programs 
• Lead the preparation, moderation and documentation of complex, multi-stakeholder co-creation / design thinking workshops
• Identification, production and presentation of personas, customer/user journeys, workflows, insights and needs 
• Ability to conceptualize high-level customer experience concepts across a variety of touch points, including digital products, services and spaces
• Develop information architecture scenarios, messaging and high-level content concepts
• Bring concepts to life via sketches, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes or other methods
• Selection, briefing and management of research partners and other strategists as needed to achieve project goals
• Strategic leadership on client pitches, from storyline definition to deck creation and presentation in front of senior client stakeholders
• Leading the creation of thought leadership content around our agency service offerings and key verticals, including but not limited to white papers, blog content and press articles

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• 6+ years of experience in a similar role in an agency, consulting firm or in a fast-paced brand/startup environment
• Ideally you are a UX designer with a strong strategy focus, or a strategist with strong UX/visualization skills 
• Extensive experience in service design, user experience, design thinking and a vast array of user-centric methodologies such as creating personas, journey mapping, etc., including all necessary software tools
• The right temperament to strategically lead multiple high-complexity client projects at the same time, all while providing mentorship and guidance to colleagues and partners
• Excellent people skills — a large part of the role will involve the candidate representing Edenspiekermann by leading meetings, workshops and presentations with clients

Travel and remote work

• Minimum of two days a week presence required at our San Francisco office at Jackson Square, and within commuting distance the remaining days
• Option to work fully remote and outside of commuting distance for up to 6 weeks per year
• This role requires frequent travel to client meetings in the US, and likely abroad
