Job Description

We are seeking an Enrolled Agent to provide tax preparation, tax representation, and administrative support for our clients.This position is ideal for someone with an IRS representation or tax preparation background that wants to assist individuals and small businesses with getting on track and staying on track with their tax responsibilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluate client matter to determine a roadmap that ensure the most beneficial resolution for clients.
• Participation in client and team review and tax planning meetings.
• Tax research and investigation prior to engagement
• Tax Controversy: Negotiate with various IRS departments (Collections, Appeals and Audits) on clients’ matters.
• Collaborate with other EAs & CPA to manage a caseload of clients and ensure sure the firm is on track with the company goals and budget.
• Follow up to clients on crucial issues and tasks.
• Prepare client financial information (Forms 433-A & B), Offers in Compromise, and audit materials to be submitted to the IRS.
• Prepare, review and sign individuals and corporate tax returns.
• Monitor caseload to ensure IRS deadlines are met.
• Perform accounting or bookkeeping functions.
• Handle liens & levies, abatement, foreign bank account, FATCA, trust accounting and other related tasks.
• Drafting tax letter in response to audit notices and requests for information from various tax authorities.

​QUALIFICATIONS:

• Required: Enrolled Agent certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Required: Excellent customer service, communication, and team-oriented skills required
• Required: Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks required
• NAEA or CTRS preferred
• Required: Working knowledge of a client management database, Lacerte or Pro Series, and Quick Books
