Our client is a $30M government contractor in rapid growth mode. They are looking to add a Technical Accounting Manager to their team, that will report into their Controller. The company works on highly classified contracts and this role would allow for the person to obtain a clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze transactions and prepare technical accounting memos  to document accounting treatment conclusions to ensure proper accounting and disclosure.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather the required data for analysis.
• Monitor and assess the impact of new accounting and disclosure requirements, and lead the implementations as applicable to the company.
• Take the lead on specific initiatives, including accounting for business combination purchase accounting, goodwill and intangibles, revenue recognition and consolidations.
• Interact with external auditors to respond to information requests and inquiries to ensure that the annual audits are completed on time.
• Assist in maintaining and improving internal processes and controls
  compliance.
• Provide support on various special projects as assigned by management
  including assistance with project cost analysis and related financial
  presentations.
