Responsibilities
Reports to Managing Editor; receives tasks from editorial and design staff as approved
Schedules and tracks production deadlines for editorial and design staff using project management software
Writes monthly articles and other copy as assigned
Creates, writes, and/or tests recipes around a monthly theme as assigned
Maintains up-to-date department records
Interfaces with magazine contributors, inside and outside of the organization, to ensure clear communication and timely delivery of information and content
Manages monthly mailing list organization and print orders
Edits and/or proofreads magazine copy
Attends weekly staff meetings, regular meetings with Managing Editor, and quarterly magazine team meetings
Desired skills
Excellent command of vocabulary, spelling, grammar, and writing
Top-tier organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Team player, flexible, and versatile
Working knowledge of printing, publishing, and graphic arts procedures and related computer software
Proficient keyboarding and other computer skills
Detail-oriented

Hourly pay rate plus quarterly bonuses based on profit; Pay is bi-weekly
