  • Responsibilities

    Under direct supervision and following standard procedures with some limited independent judgment, compiles data, performs routine tasks, reviews documentation and facilitates modifications, and processes basic policy changes to support the underwriting process by performing the following duties.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Identifies, indexes, scans, copies, modifies and processes documents

    2. Communicates with underwriters and agents for additional information or instructions regarding new business, renewals, quotes and endorsements

    3. Enters basic policy changes into the system

    4. Processes various documents, including Michigan Liquor Control Commission filings, motor carrier filings, inspection and loss control documents, and others

    5. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills

    Required Experience

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or up to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    • A minimum requirement for this position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • Qualifications
    • Personal computer skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
    • Proficient with Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, charts, etc.
    • Excellent keyboard/typing skills
    • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
    • Excellent follow-through
    • Strong team player; reliable, respectful, able to build meaningful working relationships with other team members
    • Write and execute SQL and Oracle queries
    • Data analysis, identifying trends and gaps, process improvement suggestions and enhancements is a must; not just data reporting
    • Problem solving, technical troubleshooting and analytical abilities
    • Demonstrated customer focus and ability to resolve customer issues
    • Accustomed to working in an environment driven by high standards for service and system delivery
    • Self-motivated, proactive, able to work under stressful conditions
    • Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems and Applications.
    • Have a good working knowledge of Network troubleshooting.
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common instruction manuals and technical journals.
    • Ability to write technical documents.
    • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
    • Ability to create understandable written communications.
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
