At EDMO, staff members spend their summer connecting with kids, honing leadership skills and making a real impact - all while rocking wacky costumes and getting pied in the face! Our summer positions offer a unique opportunity to help kids uncover hidden talents, while pursuing your own personal and professional goals and passions. Spend your summer developing translatable and transferable professional skills (like mentorship and coaching) while growing social emotional learning skills side by side with the kids (like collaboration, empathy and problem solving) and the adults that work with them.
The Learning Coordinator is responsible for providing support and feedback to in-person camp staff as well as subbing for instructors when needed. We’re looking for an experienced coach with teaching or educator support experience who has a background in SEL and STEAM learning methodology. The Learning Coordinator observes curriculum periods led by instructors and gives them feedback on how to effectively implement our curriculum and the SEL methodology. They will attend all curriculum trainings as well as receive additional STEAM training from the Curriculum Manager on the EDMO Method®.
Main duties include:
Attend instructor trainings and other relevant training for the role
Observe each assigned Instructor once every 2 weeks
Meet with each assigned Instructor once every 2 weeks for coaching and feedback cycles
Lead weekly Instructor and Counselor meetings
Meet with Programs Manager weekly to discuss program improvements and observation feedback to lead improvements
Work with Program Managers to propose, write, and implement continual training units, as needed based on Instructor observations and other program feedback
Assist Program Managers with creating tools for programs as the need arises
Sub for instructors when needed
Reports to: Site Coordinator
Qualifications

Preferred qualifications are:
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience
Credentialed teacher a HUGE plus
High level of experience providing feedback
Classroom teaching experience preferred
Experience coaching and interacting with other staff members
Creative, patient and positive attitude with a willingness to problem solve
Experience (and a love for!) working with kids
High sense of responsibility and dependability
Previous camp experience preferred
Patience, flexibility, and adaptability
Self starter, motivated, but also team player
Problem solver who works well under pressure
Willingness to wear a mask, remain social distant at all location sites, and be meticulous about diligently following all EDMO Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions as it pertains to matters of safety
Additional Information
This position is full-time during the summer. Exact dates will be discussed during the interview process. Dates will depend on the program site with programs running from June 7-September 3rd for a duration of 6-9 weeks.
You will be traveling between sites for observations and subbing so transportation is needed.

SALARY RANGE: $20-25/per hour depending on location/region and experience
FOR 2021 IN-PERSON PROGRAMMING: _To ensure the safety of everyone in the EDMO community, we will be following all local and state COVID-19 policies as they evolve. Given current restrictions, all EDMO groups currently have a maximum of 12 campers and 2 staff members. This number may be adjusted as various county regulations allow. A COVID-19 safety waiver will be required of all in-person staff at the time of hire and includes mask guidelines, requirements for good health with no COVID-19 symptoms and expectations that staff will make responsible choices regarding high-risk behavior within the community while working at EDMO.
