Job Description

• Set up, install, repairs and maintains machinery and equipment.
• Fabricate metal parts and tools as needed.
• Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment based on observation and previous knowledge.
• Responsible for electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic maintenance of production equipment and troubleshooting including PLC drives.
• Troubleshoots repairs and maintains equipment and machinery through the use of hand tools and power tools.
• Dismantles machines or equipment and replaces defective parts as necessary.
• Re-assemble and test machinery/equipment ensuring operations meet production and safety specifications.
• Cleans and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
• Replaces or repairs machine belts.
• Paints machines as necessary to prevent corrosion.
• Take note of work start, end, break and lunch times.
• Maintains good housekeeping.
• Notify Maintenance Supervisor of any substandard equipment or non-conformities.
• Performs other duties and participates in other special projects as directed by Maintenance Supervisor or Senior Management.
• Assists with inventory control and ordering parts as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, which include: Offset printing press, flexographic and digital presses, finishing and bindery equipment
• Keep up with all changes in Electrical Codes to provide a safe working environment within the facility.

Qualifications

• Basic Knowledge and skill in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, mechanical and AC/DC electronic controls, circuits and PLC's.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions
• Troubleshoot effectively and respond quickly to solve equipment malfunctions.
• Ability to follow safe work methods while performing tasks and effectively, communicate with Press Operators, crew members and management is necessary.
• Able to analyze, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment/machinery malfunctions.
• Must be able to read, understand and trace electrical schematics

Salary: $25.00 to $35.00 /hour
