    Job Description

    OVERVIEW: Egan Company is looking for a SYSTEMS SUPPORT ANALYST INTERN at our corporate headquarters located in Brooklyn Park, MN. This position has a flexible start and end date for a 12-week summer internship. 

    The System Support Analyst Intern supports three Egan buildings and also supports Egan’s remote work-sites. Tasks include troubleshooting and resolving issues with technology including Egan's VDI environment, phone system and any combination of electronic office equipment (copier, etc.). 

     

    The role operates as part of the larger IT team as part of its Help Desk staff. In addition to day-to-day fixes, this role is involved with long-term initiatives, company-wide technology changes, and system improvements.

     

    _RESPONSIBILITIES: _

    • Assist with completion of two intern-lead projects for the summer
    • Manage, research, diagnose, and respond to incoming help desk requests
    • Support remote sites in the Twin Cities area with items such as PCs, VMware, Horizon View Clients, Servers, and Networking
    • Maintain company cell phones
    • Server responsibilities - assist with server upgrades and maintenance 
    • Networking - assist with Meraki switches management and monitoring

    _QUALIFICATIONS: _

    • Currently enrolled in a two-year IT-related degree program, two-year related degree in computer networking, or four-year computer science degree program

      •  Incoming college freshmen are also encouraged to apply!

       

    • Familiarity with Windows, MS Office, Internet, and PC hardware, TCP/IP, and networking is preferred

    • Must be able to work as an individual contributor and as part of a team

    • Must have excellent verbal communication skills

    • Possess the ability to explain technical issues in non-technical terms

    • Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships with end-users and vendors

    • Strong organizational skills to deal with customer needs and competing priorities

     

    _WORKING ENVIRONMENT_Performance of duties mainly in the office with occasional visits to job sites to support field personnel.
