    Are you a PROCESS ENGINEEr looking for your next opportunity?  We are seeking a dynamic PROCESS ENGINEER to join our process engineering department in CONCORD, CA. In this role you will work in a collaborative multi-discipline environment, supporting various clients and projects. You will work in our company's headquarters reporting into the Process Department Manager.

    Do you enjoy working with multi-disciplinary teams of engineers and designers?  Do you have a passion for performing design engineering for brown field and revamp facilities in the refining, chemical and food and beverage industries?  As a Process Engineer at Eichleay you will work on a variety of projects with multi-disciplinary teams with projects involving design engineering.  Design engineering consists of conceptual design, basic engineering and detailed design for reimbursable & lump sum projects.

    Your duties will include performing process simulations / studies, heat and material balances, process flow diagram (PFD) and piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, design calculations, hydraulics and line sizing, equipment data sheets/specifications, utility requirements/systems analysis, relief contingency analysis and pressure safety valve (PSV) sizing, and compilation of process engineering reports.

    You may also provide technical guidance to less experienced design and engineering personnel.

    ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

    • Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issues.   Addresses those issues as necessary to ensure zero harm to all employees clients, and contractors with zero environmental incidents. 
    • Consistently achieves goals, delivers quality and accurate work and meets timelines.
    • Ability to apply Chemical Engineering principles to complete process engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Develop process data sheets for stationary and rotating equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, separators, filters, heat transfer equipment, pumps and compressors.
    • Work on small projects or portions of larger projects collaboratively using judgement to determine adaption in methods for non-routine aspects of assignments. Effectively interacts with all levels of employees, clients and vendors.
    • Strong customer focus with commitment to building enduring relationships that yield customer satisfaction and loyalty. Assists with client, customer, or official contact and communications pertaining to assignments.
    • Ability to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as required.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering (BSChE) from an ABET accredited program and three or more years of experience.
    • Sound knowledge of Chemical Engineering principles to complete process engineering tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Familiarity and knowledge with developing process data sheets for stationary and rotating equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, separators, filters, heat transfer equipment, pumps and compressors.
    • Familiarity and knowledge of API, ASME and ANSI standards.
    • Simulation experience using HYSYS, PRO II or other comparable process simulation software.
    • Understanding of refinery or chemical plant unit operations. 
    • Effective oral and written communication skills.
    • Demonstrated commitment to continued learning and education through participation in internal and/or external training opportunities.
    • Ability to be badged for a process safety management governed facility which requires in depth drug screening.

    PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

    • Experience with process engineering for refinery or petrochemical projects.
    • Experience utilizing PSV database software such as iPRSM highly desirable.
