Are you a CIVIL/STRUCTURAL DESIGNER_ seeking a new opportunity?  Our CONCORD, CA location is accepting applications for a CIVIL/STRUCTURAL DESIGNER _to join our team. This is a new full-time position with Eichleay reporting into the Civil/Structural department. Your role will include working in a collaborative, multi-discipline environment supporting various projects. 

MOVE FORWARD WITH EICHLEAY 

Do you have a sound, comprehensive knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing, CAD/graphics, computer model work, and reading of drawings?  Your knowledge of design is critical for this role, where you will prepare drawings and layouts, conduct 3D modeling design procedures, and work with AutoCAD/graphics/Civil 3D. You passion to develop designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures, and plant arrangements in graphic form or in detailed scale models will serve you well in this role. You may also coordinate the work of other assigned designers and drafters, as well as be responsible for reviewing and checking assigned work to meet quality standards. Your other duties include assisting engineers with the preparation of charts and graphs, cost estimates, and bills of materials.

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Prepare drawings and layouts, specifications, technical calculations, charts and graphs, cost estimates, and bills of materials.
• Develop designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures and plant arrangements.
• Plan and executes the presentation of arrangements in graphic form or in detailed scale models.
• Plan, organize, and coordinate your work as well as work of assigned designers and drafters.
• Reviews and checks, design models, drawings and design documents for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality, and satisfactory completion. 
• Field verifying existing conditions for new designs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

• Associate degree in an engineering or scientific discipline and 4 or more years of experience; or specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices plus 2 additional years of experience; or equivalent.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated success with interacting with clients, vendor representatives, project field personnel, construction contractors and other staff.
• Demonstrated ability to perform layouts of industry standard CAD packages on Windows based computer network.
• Experience with 3D modeling.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Experience with NavisWorks.
• Sound comprehensive knowledge of design and drafting techniques, engineering drawing, CAD/graphics, computer model work, and reading of drawings.
• Knowledge of California Building Code    
• Understands the need for coordination between other disciplines when related to available space and maintenance requirements for the equipment.

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience with Refinery/Industrial/Petrochemical projects.
• Experience with  CADWorx, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit and/or Smart Plant.
