    Are you seeking a FACILITIES ESTIMATOR opportunity?  We have an opportunity for a dynamic Facilities Estimator to join our headquarters based in CONCORD, CA.  Your primary responsibilities will include making high-level decisions and recommendations about project requirements and ensuring that all estimates and schedules are factual and based on verifiable data.  This is a full time position within our project controls department which reports into the Project Controls Manager.

    Do you have a passion for preparing construction cost estimates that range from conceptual to detail Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)? Your versatility on the types of projects you support will serve you well in this position.  Your ability to provide assistance in cost studies for Clients, allowing them to decide which commercial direction a project needs to take will be highly valued at Eichleay.  Do you love collaborating in a team environment?  Your coordination with other estimators, engineers and staff assigned on estimates will be critical to your success.

    ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:

    • Responsible for initial constructability studies to ensure the scope can be constructed with in the Clients’ goals (safety, schedule, accessibility issues, sequencing of construction).
    • Receives close supervision on unusual or difficult problems, and general review of all aspects or work.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree with 5 or more years’ experience.
    • Experience with conceptual and detail estimates in an engineering environment.
    • In-depth experience with estimate modeling | MS Excel / Industry Software.
    • Knowledge of biotechnology and pharmaceutical instrumentation, valves, and equipment.
    • Basic Knowledge and familiarity with structuring and maintaining historical databases preferred.
    • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.  Ability to demonstrate success with collaboration of teams in a project environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to process and comprehend project design requirements, schedule impacts, Client impacts, and to make high-level decisions and recommendations about project requirements to ensure estimate meets all the design criteria.
    • Experience with managing and working according to project schedules while meeting project budget requirements.
    • Demonstrated ability to provide high level of productivity, accuracy, and solid documentation.
    • Experience with understanding of project requirements and needs, and to use this information when creating estimate.
    • 2 plus years with Primavera 6 (or greater) scheduling software.
    • Familiar with WBS codes – Work Breakdown Structure.
    • Familiar with project cost analysis, forecasting and reporting.

    PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Expertise with biotechnology and pharmaceutical unit operations including CIP/SIP, fermentation, ultrafiltration, chromatography, and clean utilities.
