OK, so where do you fit in?

We are seeking a Contract ColdFusion Developer to enrich our team's capabilities in developing features for a web-based administrative product, complemented by a RESTful API that supports companion mobile apps. Initially, for the first two months, you'll be deeply integrated with the client's agile team. This close collaboration within their agile ecosystem ensures a dynamic and iterative approach to delivering features on a regular basis. Immersing yourself in this environment offers a unique opportunity to directly understand and contribute to the client's objectives. Should the engagement prove successful, there's potential to extend the contract for an additional 8-10 months. During this extended period, your focus will shift towards more closely collaborating with the Eight Bit team, including developers, user experience and design teams, QA, and project managers. This phase will continue the momentum of delivering exceptional digital experiences, leveraging the agile practices you've adapted to with the client's team.

Here's what else you need for the role:

• 4+ years of Cold Fusion experience
• Strong knowledge of Cold Fusion programming language
• Familiarity with ColdBox MVC, Ortus Solutions open source products: CacheBox, Wirebox, LogBox, TestBox, CommandBox, and other Modules, such as CBWire, a REACT like framework
• JavaScript experience; experience with React is a plus
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to spend a maximum of 32 hours during the initial phase of the contract

Here are your responsibilities for this position:

• Develop and maintain Cold Fusion applications.
• Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features.
• Work in an Agile cadence with traditional ceremonies: Daily Stand-Up, Planning, Grooming & Retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Provide ongoing documentation within the application code and for intended functionality.
• Be available during the central and eastern time zones.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

As a Contract Cold Fusion Developer at Eight Bit, we would expect that you:

• Know that your code needs to be understandable to the next person that reads it, so you write clean, readable, and well tested software.
• Have a good grasp of the web development landscape, have worked with multiple frameworks other than and/or have dabbled in mobile development.

• Have good soft skills and are able to communicate technical details in a non-technical way.
