    SUMMARY

    This is a cash management position responsible for assuring adequate working capital for operations in ChildFund’s Country Offices and programming partners.  It requires strong coordination and communications within a multicultural and multilingual environment.  Furthermore, the position is responsible for consolidating data and funds from the ChildFund Alliance. The incumbent also executes foreign currency transactions and reconciles reports.  Heavy cash control and security responsibilities are incorporated as well as reporting and special project (ad hoc) duties.

     

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Remain alert and responsive to any child safeguarding risks, acquire relevant knowledge and skills which will enable you to promote strong safeguarding practices, understand the child safeguarding policy and procedures, and conduct yourself in a manner consistent with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
    • Coordinate funding activities (collections and disbursements) between headquarter and Regional Offices, Country Offices, ChildFund’s Alliance members.
    • Monitor, coordinate and reconcile the loading of sponsorship data files from the ChildFund’s Alliance.
    • Assure timely collection of funds from the Alliance by providing advance notices for delays.
    • Informing Country Offices (COs) of their available funds and coordinating the disbursement of funds in the respective currency denomination.
    • Executing foreign currency (FX) trades – on both collections and disbursements sides – using competitive bidding on trading platforms.
    • Assuring the quality of funding data associated with synchronization and proper close of donor management systems with ChildFund’s Release Module (RM). 
    • Serve as back up to domestic treasury analyst on core cash management.
    • Respond to Audit and reporting requests and assure audit proper audit trails are maintained.
    • Special projects as assigned

     

    QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE 

     

    Requires:

    • 3 years of financial experience
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Highly organized individual with very strong record keeping skills
    • Strong computer skills, especially with Office suite applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)

     

    Preferred skills

    • Treasury operations and cash management experience
    • Experience trading FX on Bloomberg or 360T
    • Experience with online banking systems
    • Experience with Treasury Workstation Systems 
    • Familiarity with Crystal Reports

     

    EDUCATION

                   

    Bachelor’s degree in business, economics or related field preferred

     

    Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred.

  • Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree and three to five years of relevant experience with customer service, sales, hospitality or conferences/ events is required. Must have excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to analyze and anticipate client needs while comparing to available facilities and services. Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm and positive under pressure and to deal effectively and diplomatically with a variety of constituencies.   Must be resourceful and able to set priorities to successfully execute short and long term overlapping projects. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Excel. Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends to accommodate client meetings, site visits or other needs.
