    Team Purpose

    Ensure and guide product excellence through the development and fit of product; issue final fit requirements, grade rules, construction, and trim specifications. Work closely with design, core concept, and internal & external supply chain partners; communicate design and fit direction to the vendors. Maintain deadlines, timing and execution of the development process, following the TA calendar. Team with key internal and external partners to identify & leverage the best practices in these areas to achieve our cost, quality, on time delivery, social and environmental goals.

     

    Position Summary:

    Primarily responsible for all technical design responsibilities including the fit, quality and construction of sweater products.

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:

    +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 1. Prepares fit samples and leads fit sessions on live models for | | Missy, Petite and Plus sizing. | | 2. Updates PDM and PLM with data to include deadlines, measurements, | | fit correction comments, construction, trim details, and sketches. | | 3. Partners with vendors and manufacturers to define the correct fit; | | and approve all details for production. | | 4. Daily follow up of communication with vendors. | | 5. Monitor and track the status of production styles to ensure all | | deadlines are met. | | 6. Work with partners and team members to reconcile all information | | between size ranges, and alternative sizing methods. | | 7. Research quality issues. | | 8. Attend key meetings. | | | |   | | | | Education:  | | Minimum 2 years college education with a fashion design or technical | | design major. | | | |   | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Required Experience: | | | | Must have a minimum of 5-7+ year’s previous experience in technical | | design. Strong communication skills and strong computer skills including | | Web PDM, PLM, Illustrator, Word, Excel, Outlook, Wacom Tablet and | | digital camera software. Strong background in knitting technology. | | Knowledge of patternmaking required.  | | | |   | | | | Desired Experience:  | | Cut and sew knitwear or woven experience is a plus. | +--------------------------------------------------------------------------+
