    Internship Purpose:

    The EILEEN FISHER Internship Program cultivates the professional and personal development of our interns through meaningful immersion in our organization and culture. Interns gain valuable knowledge and hands-on work experience, while developing useful skills, building their resumes, and expanding their professional networks.

    Position Description:  Train with and support the Sales team at one of our stores with hands-on exposure to all areas of retail sales and operations.

    Learning Goals:

    • Learn the full scope of how to run a retail store
    • Learn about cross functional partnerships that support the retail business
    • Learn how to work with EILEEN FISHER customers and product

    Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: Intern will learn, train, and partner with the store team on a variety of retail functions such as:

    • Sales and Customer Service
    • Visuals
    • Merchandising
    • Events
    • Inventory management
    • Operations
    • Leadership
    • Social Consciousness
    • Human Resources

    Above all they will experience our unique culture and live the EILEEN FISHER mission while gaining insight into the leadership practices that guide our work.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Education:   Applicants should be enrolled in classes at an accredited college or university, and have previous experience in retail or related field.

    Required Experience:

    • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
    • Exhibit strong communication, interpersonal and time management skills
    • Ability to prioritize projects and multiple tasks
    • Promote teamwork environment through demonstrated ability to solve problems
    • Build cross-functional expertise for success

    Reports to: Store Leader and Assistant Store Leader

    Has Contact With: Retail Management, Store Operations, Retail Leadership, Learning + Development, Buying, Marketing, Visuals, Human Resources, other Retail stores

  • Qualifications
    • Excellent verbal and written communications
    • Detail-oriented
    • Ability to focus on productivity goals and deadlines
    • Computer competency, specifically with Microsoft Office products such as Word Processing and Excel
    • Self-starter, dependable, team-oriented
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred
