    JOB OVERVIEW: Atlas Van Lines is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and dynamic Developer to join our IT Development team! The candidate should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment while providing exceptional customer service to our customers. The Developer will be responsible for participating in the creation of technical requirements, designing of deliverables concerning customer requirements, and creating programming logic and code based on these requirements.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Create and maintain programming logic and code, documentation, and perform testing on new and updated modules and systems, based on Atlas World Group (AWG) IT standards.
    • Take direction from and consult with the lead developer on a regular basis on technical issues.
    • Work with clients, business analysts, lead developers, technical staff, and project team members to plan, design, implement, and enhance applications, scripts, and procedures, using formal Project Management and Life Cycle Management procedures.
    • Participate in code reviews of ongoing and existing system modules
    • Participate in overall System Analysis pertaining to how new and updated modules and system will interact and interface with existing systems.
    • Participate in the evaluation of new tools and methodologies as indicated.
    • Facilitate business process changes to take advantage of new system capabilities and improve productivity.
    • Coaches and mentors project team members as appropriate.
    • When appropriate, develops, with the supervisor or Business Analyst and customer, a Request for Proposal (RFP) to evaluate the purchase of an off-the-shelf item.

     

    EMPLOYMENT TYPE & HOURS: This full-time position will consist of 40 hours per week. Hours fall between 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with occasional overtime.

    Required Skills

    • Associate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, BS/BA in related discipline is preferred
    • Experience with Microsoft .NET Web Development programming in C#.NET or VB.NET.
    • Solid knowledge and skills in SQL (Structured Query Language) – accessing/updating data in SQL Server databases (DB).
    • Knows and has used HTML5 and WIX
    • Experience with the Microsoft.Net framework, Database Design and Data Modeling, XML and XML standards, and Web-based architecture, stored procedures, triggers, functions, and developing enterprise-level applications is a plus.
    • Knowledge of additional tools such as PowerShell and Bootstrap would be a plus.
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, agents, and other outside organizations
