    Ekos is seeking a Business Analyst to join our team to help us grow our product offerings. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader who is motivated, comfortable with multi-tasking and taking ownership of their work, as well as enjoy proactively searching for innovative solutions to complex problems. The Business Analyst reports to the Product Manager.

    Position Description

    Supports product development through analysis

    The Business Analyst at Ekos serves as the link between our development team and our customers by listening to wants and needs and distilling those into actionable product requirements. In order to ensure all aspects of this position are performed as expected, measurable metrics will be provided along with regularly scheduled performance reviews.

    Responsibilities

    You love working on and with cross-functional teams, supporting multiple features in the product development lifecycle and partnering with both the business and the customer to answer key business questions. You will have the opportunity to display your skills in the following areas:

    • Own requirements gathering, writing user stories and documenting acceptance criteria to support the Product Roadmap
    • Analyze insights from customer feedback, usage data, and provide input into new product development
    • Communicate between the business and technical stakeholders to ensure high quality and impactful solutions are delivered to our users iteratively
    • Partner with Quality Assurance to write test cases and perform user acceptance testing
    • Drive discussions with product management to understand the process, the problem, and then brainstorm solution scenarios
    • Analyze trends in customer defects
    • Present to leadership on product opportunities and project status
    • Support other strategic product roadmap responsibilities as needed, including strategic planning, market research, and competitor benchmarking

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements:

    • Must be able to work from office located in Charlotte, NC
    • 2+ years' experience in a technical role as a business or systems analyst
    • BA/BS in Information Technology, Business Analytics, Information Management, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related discipline
    • Experience in gathering, prioritizing and documenting detailed requirements in an agile or lean environment
    • Proven track record of successful communication of analytical outcomes through written and verbal communication to interface with all departments in Ekos
    • Strong ability to work autonomously and with little direction
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work well with a team under pressure and meet constantly evolving/changing timelines
    • Exceptional process and organizational skills with the ability to mobilize change

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in coordinating with UI and UX teams
    • Experience leading cross-functional meetings and driving results to meet goals and tight timelines
    • Effectively resolves problems before they occur
    • Enjoy solving complex problems and looking for alternate solutions – writing SQL queries is a plus
    • Proficient with MS Office and Atlassian Suite Products

    Bonus Qualifications:

    • Experience with financial systems and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
    • Experience working with small businesses in the craft beverage/product industry
    • Experience with software as a service (SAAS) applications
    • Experience with other ERP solutions or Inventory Management Systems
