    Ekos is on a mission to empower craft manufacturers all over the world to scale their businesses, streamline their processes, and optimize their teams. We are looking for a talented Staff Accountant to join our growing finance and accounting team. As an integral member of a small team that supports a rapidly growing organization, the Staff Accountant will have ample opportunity to flex all his/her accounting muscles.  The Staff Accountant will take direction from and report to our Controller/Head of Accounting while also having direct and daily interaction with our Chief Financial Officer.  The Staff Accountant will contribute to our success in accounts receivable and maintenance of customer data. This position is based in our Charlotte, North Carolina, headquarters and is not suited to a work-from-home arrangement.  Our current operating environment relevant to this role includes QuickBooks Online, Salesforce.com and WorldPay.

    Position/Title:  Staff Accountant

    Reports to:  Controller/Head of Accounting

    Responsibilities

    ·     Process customer payments daily.

    ·        Generate invoices and recurring billing templates.

    ·        Follow-up with customers on failed credit card transactions and maintain accounts receivable.

    ·        Maintain customer data related to subscriptions, opportunities, and accounts in Salesforce.

    ·        Communicate with customers via phone and email.

    ·        Process check payments and prepare bank deposits.

    ·        Process credit card payments in WorldPay.

    ·        Support the Controller in the month-end closing process.

    ·        Light assistance to the Office Manager, as required.

    Qualifications

    ·        Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.

    ·        1-3 years of accounting experience either in industry or public accounting.

    ·        Working knowledge of GAAP.

    ·        Strong problem-solving, numeracy and analytical skills.

    ·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    ·        Meticulous attention to detail.

    ·        Superior organizational skills; ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

    ·        Technologically savvy and adaptable to new systems and approaches.

    ·        Strong sense of professionalism and desire to contribute to the culture of Ekos.

    ·        Proficiency with QuickBooks and MS Office applications.

    ·        Experience with Salesforce.com and Avalara plus.
