In our early days, Ekos focused on providing bespoke business management software to the craft beer industry. After 6 years, we're growing our focus to empower craft makers all over the world to scale their businesses, streamline their processes, and optimize their teams. As a product designer you will work hand-in-hand with design, product, and development teams to create amazing experiences for our clients and their customers.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING:
Collaborate across cross-functional product and development teams to discover and design elegant solutions
Own the design process on the team from beginning to end: making use of existing research and analytics as well as suggesting new ones; designing flows, sketches, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups; creating intuitive user experiences for web and mobile; launching features and products alongside Sales and Marketing teams
Engage with key stakeholders to identify pain points & product/feature opportunities to properly communicate ideas and deliver prototypes to product and development teams
Design and envision future experiences iteratively in a dynamic environment, being mindful of how the experience needs to evolve over time
Leverage user feedback as well as design best practices to drive and influence business decisions
Collaborate with software engineers in application development meetings and assist in implementing action items
Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends
WHAT WE'D LIKE TO SEE:
Work samples that demonstrate your ability to design quality digital products and highlight your contributions from ideation to production
Examples or case studies of projects that went well, projects that failed, and what you've learned from those successes and failures • Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, develop actionable insights, and design complete user experiences that meet customer needs and product vision
Expertise in standard design software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and the like is a must. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus. Responsive design and experience designing for mobile is expected
A solid grasp of user research: user interviews, usability testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability standards and accessibility guidelines. You don't have to do it all, but you want to! • Experience creating, managing, or working with design systems
WHAT WE'D LOVE TO SEE:
FINALLY
There are no degree or years-of-experience requirements for this role. Fresh out of school? Pivoting from another field? 25 years of experience in React (haha)? We're open to giving people their first shot, a second chance, or that opportunity for greatness that's eluded them their entire career. Just be awesome, and let's talk.
